The Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway are hosting some very special events over the Easter holidays. Visitors can embark upon their signature journey from Welshpool to Llanfair Caereinion and back, with a one-hour stopover in Llanfair Caereinion. They have also promised something special over the Easter weekend, with an Easter trail, children’s activities, and chocolate eggs. This trip out could be combined with a visit to Powys Castle, also in Welshpool. The gardens here are great so its the perfect place for kids to run off some energy from all the chocolate!
Enjoy an adventure-filled day out to The Follies during the Easter holidays. Children can explore caves, uncover dragons and trolls, cross bridges, climb towers, and have a good run around! They have promised a new easter trail for 2022 – keep checking back for further details.
Head on over to the Severn Valley Railway from 21st-24th April and discover the very best steam engines from across the home fleet, as well as special locomotives from all over the UK. Visitors can travel through Shropshire and Worcestershire at their own pace and enjoy getting up close and personal to some amazing locomotives in the Engine Room.
This kid-friendly festival from 29th April – 2nd May at West Midlands Showground is guaranteed to keep the kids entertained. Discover the monster trucks show, panic circus, fun fair, donkey rides, mad hatters’ tea party, kids disco, treasure hunt and much more during this fun-filled camping weekend. You can purchase full weekend tickets or day tickets for Bank Holiday Monday only.
This classic motor show will be returning to the spectacular Chetwynd Deer Park on 1st May for a day full of motor classics, great food, live music, and children’s entertainment. Admire hundreds of classic cars, vans, trucks, and bikes in the interactive arena, with a variety of competitions and awards throughout the day. Younger visitors can even enjoy meeting Peter Rabbit!
This extra-special craft fair will be held in the grounds of Clun Castle on Monday 2nd May. Explore a wide variety of stalls and attractions in the castle field and grounds, before watching The Battle on The Battlements! There will be some fantastic live music throughout the day, as well as maypole dancing, foraging walks, circus skills workshops, children’s entertainment and more.
