Shropshire Oktoberfest

Shropshire’s very own Oktoberfest is back and bigger than ever on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd October 2021. For one weekend only, Shrewsbury Quarry Park will be showcasing tasty food and drink, live music, street food, a farmer’s market, a comedy club and even a superb silent disco! With stalls selling over 180 real ales, ciders, wines, and spirits, you’re guaranteed to find yourself a tasty tipple or two.

Shropshire Hills Bonfire & Firework Display

The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre’s annual bonfire and firework display will be back with a bang on Saturday 30th October 2021. Round off the October half term with a brilliant bonfire, fantastic fireworks, remarkable refreshments and thrilling fairground rides – great fun for both adults and children. All money raised will be donated to charity.

Shrewsbury Festival of Literature

Shrewsbury’s 6th annual literary festival is due to take place over the weekend of Friday 26th – Sunday 28th November 2021. Discover a weekend full of literary events, celebrating local award-winning authors and speakers. If poetry is your thing, don’t miss the 5th Shropshire Literary Festival Poetry Slam or the Poetry Café & Open Mic night at The Hive!

Ludlow Medieval Christmas Fayre

Get your Christmas shopping off to a great start at the Ludlow Medieval Christmas Fayre, held in the enchanted Ludlow Castle on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th November. Discover over 100 stalls presented by traders from all over the UK. As well as ample shopping opportunities, the fayre will feature jesters, fighting knights, archery, storytellers, historical demonstrations and much more.
